À tout prendre, le jour où ce sera mon tour, j’espère que le soleil sera de la partie. Ce n’est déjà pas comique d’être dans la boîte, plus seul qu’un homard dans la casserole, si en plus il faut infliger aux copains de tapoter des pieds sous un ciel froid et pluvieux… Aucun d’entre nous n’ayant eu les confidences du vieux Gaston au sujet de l’au-delà , dans le doute Cyclope a fait venir le curé, qui nous a bâclé ses tours de goupillon, jugeant qu’a fortiori, sans messe et tout le bataclan, il avait mieux à faire ailleurs.

Oui, après des débuts difficiles, grâce à leur talent et leur travail, et peut-être parce qu’ils arrivaient au bon moment, d’autres artistes ont bénéficié de la rumeur publique qui, quelques rares fois, se soucie peu des palmarès, du box-office. La « Boîte à bleu » en a hissé quelques-uns jusqu’à la Galerie Municipale, ce qui signifie une entrée dans le circuit, un possible avenir, d’autres rencontres. De cette relative consécration, combien en reviennent ?

Car il y a celui qui a joué dans la fanfare municipale, il y a bien longtemps, mais parce qu’il pourrait jouer de la musique se croit musicien. Il y a celle qui a pris des cours de peinture, qui ne peint plus, mais parce qu’elle a déjà peint se croit peintre. Il y ceux qui ont en tête un roman, depuis des années, dont ils remettent sans cesse la rédaction, qui se croient néanmoins écrivains.
Tous ceux-là se font une âme d’artiste, la plupart disent aimer les arts, plus ou moins la fantaisie et son lot de préjugés, souhaitent s’opposer aux usages… Mais la vie étant ce qu’elle est, vous savez, le travail, les enfants, les amis, les loisirs, la fatigue, enfin ! vous comprenez…

C’est quand même fou, tout ce déploiement de force, de volonté, de solidarité pour un bout de mur. Comme un rêve, un doux rêve. Mathilde s’est installée à la table de la salle à manger. Un bloc note, un dictionnaire, un crayon graphite et une gomme. Elle a sollicité une petite heure de tranquillité, le temps et l’attention consacrés à un premier jet de sa pétition, soumis ensuite à l’approbation ou aux amendements du groupe. Car il s’agit de nous entendre sur l’exact soutien que nous recherchons auprès de la population : appelons-nous au simple respect de mon mur, ou allons-nous jusqu’à réclamer la fin du dictat culturel dans cette ville ?
